Governing bodies

The highest decision-making body of the Wood and Allied Workers' Union is the General Council.

The General Council determines the directions and principles of union activity and decides on the most important issues, such as amendments to the statutes, election of the union's President and Secretary, and election of the Executive Board.

The General Council is convened once a year for statutory meetings and, where necessary, for extraordinary meetings to decide about such issues as the approval or rejection of a collective agreement.

The Executive Board consists of the Union's President and Secretary and 18 members. The Executive Board is responsible for the Union's finances and property, and it leads and directs the Union in protecting the membership's interests and in its general activity.
